Woa, I'm back. It's been a great time helping out in the Youth camp. There were 4 groups to start with, forgiveness, self-control, self-denial & long-suffering. Each has it's own values & moral of the story to tell.
Location: Changi Village Bungalow Chalet
I helped out in music & logistics. Mainly is to play the guitar for the campers during worship time. Too long never play, hand abit 'suan'. Lol. There were 4 visitors to the camp, they were quite shy @ first. But after playing some games & warming up, they began to open up slowly. After dat, lessons were taught by afew speakers & discussions were carried out. I lead 1 of the discussions!!! Keke. Leadership quality...? Nah.... Compared to others, I'm way far off from them. But was quite surprised dat 1 of the speakers cried in front of the teenagers. Had a similar situation afew years back. I was thinking, wont it stumble or stun the teens? 1st lesson & 1st day of the camp only, wouldn't it be inappropriate to do that in front of an audience? I mean, shoudn't we be strong enough to control our emotions? Hai... The love of God & the love for the teens is really powerful. It can really touch lifes. Oh ya, I went jogging for 2 mornings to train myself up & keep fit. In the end kena asthma attack again.. Zzzz... Sent to CGH for nebuliser (oxygen mask) again.. Sian.... Must know how to control my breathing liao...
Anyway, the next 3 days were almost the same. Staying up late till 12+, 1am to prepare & discuss for the next day's program. Should'nt all these be pre-planned...? Zzz... Where have all past experiences of running the camps gone...? Hai.... Alot of them were dissappointed in the running of the camp. Planning is quite bad. The games were quite interesting, planned out by 1of my friend. But best is when we had water bomb games. Everyone was so excited & we all had real fun throwing water bombs @ each other. Haha. In the end everyone were soaked wet. Lol. That was the last day. I also helped out in preparing the food & making sure that everyone of the teens have their share of food. It wasn't easy wor... Need alot of work & coordination among the helpers. Oh ya, din have much formal discussions wid the helpers too.. Zzz... Then was 1 of the judges for the skit. Each group were to come out wid a skit using the story-line in the Bible. Seeing all the group members act were funny as they had their own patterns of acting. Lol. After dat, they went to eat Swensens @ Changi Airport!!! Some of us were thinking, wa, so good ah... Last time our batch also don't have la... This batch of teenagers really lucky. Lol.
Oh ya, not forgetting Roti-Prata!! Our favourite. Haha. During the last day of the camp in the morning, we were having this relections thingy. Every0ne were sad to leave the camp, some even cried. Some controlled their emotions, tears, shared & said their thoughts out about the whole 4 day process. The speakers & helpers spoke very hard about being comfirmed in the image of Christ, learnt from the 4 group names & taught them how to apply into their daily lifes. Not forgetting being strong in God, standing up for Him and uniting the YF together as a strong group. Just hope that the teens will understand & learn from it, that God will touch their hearts & be good Christians setting good standards & examples for others to follow.
Came back on Friday afternoon, so tired. Took a 2 hr nap & did my own things already. Saturday went for a thanks-giving lunch @ Bukit Batok Pizza Hut outlet, it's for 2 very hardworking & respectable person. So we, the young adults gave them a treat in view of their zealous passion & hardwork for the camp. Then went down to meet my sec sch friend for some MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing) thingy. Quite a gd catch, but too bad, don't have the means or funds to invest in the project. Was abit sian, so went to airport to look for a special someone for supper/dinner. But she was busy.
Sunday went to church @ CHC, Pastor K.H. msg was powerful & touching. After that, coincidently went to airport again for lunch, initiated by my cell group. Lol. So, grabbed the chance to meet up wid LV also, accompanied her for lunch. See her everytime so lonely mah... After dat, went home lor... Took a 6 hr nap, wow, dats long. Then checked my E-mails, etc. It's really flooded!!! Oh gosh.... Had a hard time clearing those mails man. Think I'm gona filter it 1 of these days.
Ok, Monday, busy wid payment of medical aka Hospital bills, etc. Busy day. Tomorrow also. Oh ya, bought a small present for LV. Hee. Wednesday morning going swimming lo... Train up on my breathing, so asthma won't come so easily. Then evening maybe meeting up wid LV to catch a movie. Excited. Hee. Can't wait to meet her.. She's so gentle, kind & adorable. Lol. Ok, I gtg slp liao.... Ciao... Gd night... =)
